How do I make sure the union has my correct address?

If you currently receive notices for monthly general meetings, then the union has your correct address. You should have recently received a notice about the nomination meeting. If you don’t regularly receive notices for meetings and/or didn’t receive the nomination notice, you need to call DC37 at (212) 815-1000 to update it.

What does the executive board do?

  • The executive board is the leadership team responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the local union and representing its members. The Executive board:
    • Organizes and leads local meetings
    • Acts as the voice of the membership when dealing with management
    • Keeps members informed and engaged
    • Helps build local membership and engagement
    • Helps foster solidarity through events, education and political advocacy
    • Represents and votes on behalf of the local at the DC37-level
    • Enforces the local’s constitution, byways and policies
    • Makes decisions between member meetings
    • Approves budgets, tracks local spending and ensures financial transparency
  • The executive board makes important decisions in how the local is run. A successful executive board makes decisions with the members, not just for them. That is what 3005 Rank & File Voices promises to be — an executive board representing YOUR voice.
